Well, okay. If the Jedi wanted to go to sleep around the Sith Lord that was his prerogative. It wasn't a very safe one, but whatever.
Malgus took the time to familiarize himself with the controls. Modern ships had some differences, but the basics were sti the same.
Which is why he didn't bother to wake the Jedi when they approached the planet
or
when he went to land.
